RUGBY WORLD CUP FEVER!!!!!!!!

Malo e lei Lei,
On the 6th of September Room 17 went to see the Tongan rugby team in action at Western Springs Stadium. We went because we have adopted Tonga as our country for the Rugby World Cup 2011.
We all dressed up in the Tongan team colours which were red and white, painted our faces, wore our necklaces and waved our flags for our adopted Rugby World Cup team.
We meet at McDonalds first and then headed down to the stadium filled with Tongan supporters.
There were thousands of Tongan fans when we arrived it was like a sea of red and white. It was a great atmosphere to be in people were singing, dancing and cheering. They were loud and proud.
People were waving their flags madly and shouting “TONGA” everywhere we went.
We got to see the Tongan rugby team in action with all their drills and moves. Some kids in our class even got some of their autographs.
It was a great experience and everyone enjoyed themselves. We are looking forward to seeing the Tongan team in action against the mighty All Blacks on Friday.
