Rowan of Rin

By Emily Rodda

Recommended for Girls and Boys Age 8 and up

This book is about Rowan and six people from the village of Rin who went up a mountain to find out why the water supply for the village had stopped flowing.

The people of the village go to see Sheba, a wise old woman, to see if she can help.  She gives Rowan a stick and Rowan discovers the stick is actually a map.  The journey to discover the secret of how the water is supplied to the village starts from here.

I found the book to be  a mysterious adventure and I would recommend this book to everyone.
