To start term 3 we will be looking at rotation, tesselations and symmetry.

Have a go at these at home: 

 

  • What can you find in  nature that has lines of symmetry? Have a look in your garden, the beach or the park! (hint - check out flowers and butterflies)

  •  

  • Cut an orange in half - how many lines of symmetry can you see?

 What letters of the alphebet have lines of symmetry?

What letters of the alphabet will look the same if you 'flip' them or look at them in a mirror?
