Super star of the week is
Amanda!
Amanda is a helpful girl in room 9, She is a sensible role model and always  there to lend a helping hand. Amanda is a smart pupil at  Campbells Bay.
 
Freakiest facts of the week!
1. In 1894 there were only 4 cars in America.
2. It's so hot in the Sahara Desert that rain evaporates before it hits the ground.
3. There are 1,792 steps to the top of the Eiffel tower!

Art!
For art this term we Have been creating Moko mask designs and our colorful creative Taniwhas.

Topic!
For topic we have been creating interesting exciting cultural board games for a contest that all the year 5 students have entered. It involves New Zealand and Australia to battle it out for a challenge of a life time. who will win?

Writing!
For writing this week we have been writing news paper reports on our board game success. Each member of our room 9 team have been writing fabulous storys which have onomatopoeia,descibing words and lots more.

About the teacher!
Miss Dee grew up in England with her two brothers Ian and David.
They are all huge soccer fans of the England soccer team. Miss Dee's favourite food is the top of the lasagna in a sandwich. Yum yum!
